In 2000, Greg Selkoe founded a small online retailer that catered to urban style. All from his parents basement in Boston, Massachssetts.
The site has grown to include Karmaloop.com, which includes videos, contests and a blog, KarmaloopTV, Junglelife and a Karmaloop flagship store in Boston. Karmaloop.com receives 3.5 million unique visitors a month. The site has a widespread network including an opt-in email list of over 750,000 people, a blog network reaching over 3 million unique visitors per month, and over 30,000 customer evangelists that help promote the brand, the site, and its initiatives.
Karmaloop Carries like 150 brands including: 10Deep, Alife, WeSC, Married to the Mob, Hellz Bells, Cheap Monday, Mishka, Creative Recreation, Crooks and Castles, Freshjive, Hot Air, LRG, Supra, Burton, Truimvir, Vans (Vault), Adidas, Puma, Reebok, and New Balance, and so on!!!
Karmaloop also has been featured in the media, among the Entrepreneur, USA Today, New York Times, The Boston Globe and Business Week. Karmaloop was ranked No. 359 on trade magazine Internet Retailer's 2008 Top 500 Guide. Karmaloop was also nominated for a Webby Award in 2006.
The Karmaloop flagship store was launched in 2005 in the heart of the Bostons famed Newbury Street shopping district as a way to bring the Karmaloop brand to the streets of its hometown.
